RESIDENTIAL CARE LINE -Auckland Hospital Board
This is an information service which aims to help people aged 65 years and over, their family / whanau, or carers who are considering rest home or long stay hospital care, or who are already in care.
Information available includes how to get help to stay at home, short term relief care for caregivers, as well as the systems around long term residential care, including entitlements for residents receiving a subsidy.
Residential Care Line is a service for people living in Auckland and Northland and is funded through a contract with Auckland District Health Board. A lot of the general information is relevant to other parts of New Zealand, and workers field enquiries from other areas of the country as well as overseas.
The service operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
